Just got WH-1000XM3 and Spotify crashes when doing certain Android functions.

My Question or Issue

I am on the latest android version with a Samsung Galaxy 10+. I recently purchased the Sony WH 1000XM3 headphones and Spotify started crashing when using certain functions on my phone. For example, when opening the camera app or sending a picture through messages, Spotify crashes and when I reopen it, it resets the progress on the current song. My theory is that these functions make a shutter sound and I'm wondering this somehow messes something up. 

I have tried other solutions posted with similar issues and nothing has worked.
