Lag when searching through Liked Songs on Android

So I recently swapped phones to what should be a much faster and smoother experience (LG G7 -> Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra)

I have 1700+ songs in my liked songs playlist, and the LG phone could search through this no problem. My new Samsung however hangs on the first one or two letters typed for a little while before continuing with the search.

Is this a known bug or am I a weird one?

I forgot to add that this is kind of intermittent. Very rarely a search will go through smoothly - even though it may be the same artist name as searched before. Which is weirder because that shows that it can be done

I think this somehow got fixed by one of my many reinstalls. Sorry about the post!
