Loud Volume with Spotify app on Chromecast with Google TV

My Question or Issue

I just connected a new Google Chromecast with Google TV to my audio/video system. All apps across the system have consistent volume - Netflix, Disney Plus, Apple TV, etc. However, whenever using the Spotify app, the volume is significantly louder, nearly painfully louder. I cannot determine why this app is running with such a higher volume level. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app. I have restarted the Chromecast and ensured that it's software is up to date. This is the latest version of the Chromecast with Google TV - the version that comes with the new remote.

Is there some type of a setting I am missing? Any help would be amazing!

Just determined that when the Google assistant speaks, she is at this heightened volume just like the Spotify app. All other apps and streaming services are at the lower volume.

Any thoughts?

Thanks for the post!

The volume levels depend mostly on what device you're casting to and from, so that's always different. There is no specific option within the Spotify app that controls volume levels between devices when connected via Chromecast.

Have you tried starting the Spotify app from the TV itself or using Spotify Connect rather than Chromecast?
