I've been using Spotify again after some hiatus, and one of the features that I love on Spotify is Mixing Playlists. I've downloaded the app and tried to edit the transitions between songs, but the app crashes every time when I want to do it. I cleared data and cache, reinstalled app, logged off and logged in but the problem still exists.

Hi @kojot44,
Thanks for the swift reply.
Are you a part of the Spotify Beta program by any chance? If so, could you try installing the latest official release version instead and checking if the issue persists there?
Let us know how it goes.
Hi there @kojot44,
Thanks for reaching out. We'll be glad to help you enjoy the Mixed Playlists.
Let's try and narrow this down further. Could you please check out the following:
Let us know how it goes.
Yes, this happens with every playlist
Yes, this happens both on Wi-Fi and mobile data
The problem is, when I tap the Edit button, which is placed between songs, app closes itself and I'm back at the phone desktop.
When I play the Mixed playlist, everything works normal.
My Spotify version is 9.1.14.849

My Question or Issue
the app is crashing everytime i hit the mixing button between songs. it happens in every playlist i try to mix, on both wifi and mobile data, i already tried wiping the app data, the cache, reinstaling, reseting the phone. i was a beta user and i left the beta program trying to solve this and also didnt work. a few hours ago i was able to, now i just cant because it just crashes.
why was my post moved here? i have the same problem, but the solution in here didn't fix it for me. Will I still get help? This thread is already closed/solved.
Hey @icamoreira,
Thank you for keeping in contact.
We merged the post to have all the cases unified in a single thread in case we need to investigate this further. So first, would you mind confirming if you've reinstalled the app after quitting the beta test? If not, we'd recommend following the process mentioned here.
If the issue persists, it would be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member, to see if the issue persists.
Lastly, include in your next response the Spotify version you're currently running to continue investigating the case.
We'll be on the lookout.
Hello, I'm also having this issue where the app crashes every time I try to edit a transition between songs and I'm back to the phone desktop.
This happens with every playlist.
I was a beta tester, left and downloaded the official version, the issue persisted.
I've cleared cache and clean reinstalled the app, the issue persisted.
Disabled audio assistants and Dolby Atmos, the issue persisted.
On mobile data or on WiFi, the issue persists.
I'm using a Xiaomi redmi note 14 with Spotify Version: 9.1.14.849
Hey @Kelsey17,
Thanks for joining the thread and for the info you've provided!
We tried reproducing the issue on our end and also noticed that the issue was present in the beta version and that it persisted if you switch to the standard one as well, so we'd like to report this to our tech folks. As we'd like to gather as much examples as possible, @icamoreira, it'd be really helpful if you can also share the exact app version you're currently running so we can pass this on to the team.
Thanks for the cooperation!
Hi, thanks for getting back to me. So, I opted out of the beta, uninstalled, and reinstalled the app. I also tested it with a friend's account and I'm still having the same issue: the app crashes when I try to edit a mix. Lastly, the app version installed on my device is 9.1.14.849, as shown in the attached screenshot.
Hey @icamoreira,
Thanks for the quick reaction and for the info!
We've passed this on to our tech folks so they can investigate further and we'll make sure to update the thread once we have any news to share. In the meantime, make sure you're always running the latest version of Spotify so you don't miss out on any updates.
The Community is always here if something else comes up.
no updates?
Hey there folks,
Thanks for all your replies here!
Our tech team has made some changes backstage. This should be fixed now, so make sure you're running on your devices the latest version available for Spotify.
If issues persist after that, please share with us the make/model and OS of the affected device, along with the exact Spotify version you're running.
We'll be around.
The update fixed the crash on my device. However the app crashes on something else now, but I'll make another topic for that, since it's not related.
