Mobile data being used when playing music downloaded onto Samsung S7

I received a notification from my cellular provider that I had gone over my data limit this month. This was odd because I'm always careful with my data and I always save music to my phone with Spotify and only ever stream when on wifi. Spotify has used over 1GB of data this month seemingly for no reason. I did a test just now where I played an album that was saved to my phone for about 20 minutes and it used over 5MB of mobile data in the process (checked the app data info in Android which shows data usuage per app). What is going on? This never used to happen as I've had premium for well over a year and never had an issue like this. Please get back to me about this.
