My Question or Issue

When playing music on my phone it will randomly stop playing after roughly 10 minutes. The music I am trying to play is already downloaded, I do not have this problem on desktop only on my phone.

I suggest going to your phone's battery settings and look for Spotify under the list of apps being affected.

Most Android devices have battery settings that restrict apps from playing in the background. On some devices, this is turned on automatically.

Hey @alexjwade,

Thanks for reaching out about this here in the Community.

Together with considering @引きこもり's suggestion, it'd be great for you to read this support site article and follow the relevant steps listed in it to see if Spotify works properly as a result.

If this doesn't do the trick, it'd be good to perform a clean reinstall and start with a brand-new as well as the latest version of the app. Take a look at this Spotify answer to find out how this procedure works for your Samsung Galaxy.

Let us know how you get on. We'll look out for your reply!

I´ve been wondering about this too. Whenever I start the spotify for the first, it autopauses after a while. I just put together all the minutes and seconds after the first autopause, and it´s (almost) precisely 9 minutes. This was on laptop though without the app.

Hey @VilNess,

Thanks for reaching out.

Do you mean this happened in the web player on your laptop? Does using a different browser or an incognito window make any difference?

Keep us posted.
