My storage to SD card has disappeared?

My storage to SD card has disappeared?

It all started this morning...

I walked outside and went to turn on my music as I waited on the sidewalk. I was greeted with a message with something along the lines of "... you've reached your maximum amount of 3 devices to sign into at once..." and "... we've deleted your entire offline library..." I was immediately angry because now I can't listen to my music as I was in the car. I managed to download a few songs before I had to leave my Wifi's area. After I got to where I was I got back onto Spotify and went into my playlist and tried redownloading it onto my phone while I have WiFi. It says my phone is full... even though I have a 64gb micro SD card in the thing that was nowhere near full last week. I go into the storage settings on Spotify to check what is going on and find the card not being used at all by Spotify and just other stuff like videos and pictures. I then restarted the app and went back to the settings to find that the storage option isn't even there anymore. I decided to try turning off my phone and checking to see if the SD card is okay. I checked it and it's fine. I check back and it's still not even there. I went to uninstall the app but unfortunately it is built into my phone and I can only strip it down to 1.0. I did that, reupdated it and signed in but still no SD card. I went online to the Spotify forums and found a post about how I should just make the folders again and replace the old one. I go and do that but it fails. I try and delete the old one but it fails. I try and move the one on my internal storage to the SD card but it still fails. I am not sure what to do right now as I can't find any additional options for this problem. Any advice or help is appreciated.

Hi. Try force stopping spotify then disable it in the app menu. Once you've done that, download the current version from Play store and see if that works any better.

If you still have problems, let us know what mobile and android version you are using.

I am using a Samsung J3 2016 on Android 7.1.1
After talking to Spotify customer service on Twitter they helped me get to
what I thought was the solution. I started downloading my music to my SD
card again but once again it said I had reached my maximum amount of three
devices and my music was deleted again. This makes no sense as the only
place I've signed in was my phone and PC. I've also been signed into many
other devices at once before and never had this problem. To try and stop it
I first went and unchecked the switch to have songs downloaded. Then I went
into Settings> Apps> Spotify> Storage> Clear Data. Then I uninstalled all
updates to the app and restarted my phone. After that I updated Spotify and
signed in. I changed the settings to my download quality preferences and
checked to make sure the storage was set to SD card. I started to download
again but I got interrupted by the "maximum three devices pop-up".

I'm not sure what to do.

Maybe try my suggestion?

I did. I think my Micro SD Card might be corrupt. I tried formatting it but the files on it won't disappear. I'm going to talk to a specialist next week and try to figure it out.
