New phone - copying all com.spotify.music folder

Hello,

I got a new phone, thus i have transferred all folders under com.spotify.music to my new phone, in the same exact location. 

However i am still asked for password.

If all fodlers are the same, shouldn't the new phone login without asking a password? Or are the passwords are saved in other folders?

Spotify don't disclose how their authentication works. But from my experience they won't be saving your password on the device - this is bad security practice. They probably use some form of authentication token and file encryption which may be tied to your device. So copying the folders won't work. Again this is just a speculation, I don't have any official info about it.
