I keep trying to find the radio button on my app, I have a Samsung Galaxy S9 Plus if that matters, but I do not see it anywhere. The top right only has the gear icon for settings and the bottom has home, search, your playlists, and premium. Am I completely missing something here or is this a known thing? I was trying to move over from Pandora because I learned Spotify offered a similar feature for personalized radio stations. I've made serveral radio stations on the desktop app, but can't get to them on my phone at all.
Solved! Go to Solution.
So I contacted Spotify support and they basically told me that they have opted in newer users to a "test" version of the Spotify app that does not contain radio and some other options. They told me I cannot opt out and that if I wanted to use the radio service I would have to get premium. Essentially, they are taking away radio from the free version. Looks like I am just going back to Pandora since that is the only feature I wanted.

Been a Spotify user for quite a while. This latest move killed it for me. Moving on to something else...they aren't the only game in town.
This is stupid. I hope they lose all customers who were using the free version. Some people can't afford to pay for Spotify. The radio feature allowSummers s music lovers to discover hidden bands and amazing new music. I'm so over this. The free version is now useless.
It’s not a “newer user” thing. I’ve been using Spotify the entire time it’s been available in the us and I was “opted in” to lose the radio feature as well. It’s a rather blatant money grab imo. For the first time I’m disappointed in Spotify. But! If you start the radio you want to listen to on your desktop and then open your phone’s Spotify app, you can choose to continue listening on your phone. Its an annoying solution, but it works for now. If they take that away I’m definitely finding a different music app.
Wow totally unexpected, I really only used Spotify for the radio feature. Time to move on.
I'm on the paid version and I don't have the Radio button either. I can just start a radio from a song or artist but I cant look up for my radios neither see the radio
