No option to use phone speaker as output device

I have a bluetooth connected device but I want to use the phone's speaker. The switch device button does not list the phone speaker as an option. This is on an Android device. Disconnecting the bluetooth device is not an option as I need it for other purposes. I just don't want it for audio all the time.

Thanks for reaching out. This isn't really something related to Spotify and is determined by the device settings. The app will output audio to whatever the device you are using is set to use as its output device. This answer is about connecting headphones to multiple Android devices, not the question I asked. The phone app, for example, supports switching output devices.

There should be an option to change the audio output device in media player found in the notification center - just make sure Spotify is already running:

Note that its location may be different depending on your phone's manufacturer and their UI. You'll find a detailed guide on how to change the audio output device here.
