Phone not showing up on Desktop Spotify App

Looking for some help with this!

I have read some post on the board but they dont help me 😞

First problem - I was looking to sync some local music (local on desktop) to my Android devive (S3)

Second problem - i can not see my device on the Spofity desktop App

My desktop is wired and the android devive is wireless to the same wifi network.

So i have 2 problems that are no doubt linked, any help would be great...

Is your desktop connected to the wireless router (if you have a seperate router and modem)?

Make sure you have Windows firewall configured to allow the Spotify app through. It may be worth disabling any firewalls and trying to connect again just to see if this is the issue.

Also ensure that UPnP is enabled on your router.

Thanks, i think it will be better to try this at home. i am currently connected through in work domain with both devices on the network.

Yeah, most likely definately wouldn't work in a corporate network. My company are a nightmare for locking it down so tight it's untrue.
