Playlist will restart efter every song

I have had this problem for a few months now. I got my stereo system hooked up to my tv and playing music through my chromecast.

But 1/3 of times when listening to music, whenever I select a number from my quite large playlists, after the song finishes, it will restart the playlist. 

If I watch in my queue, I can see how it out of nowhere switches back to the start of the playlist again, about half way through the selected song. 

After some research I can see that this has been a issue for almost a year now. 

Why hasn't it been fixed yet? 

Dos anyone have a solution for this annoying problem?
