Plays on browser not on app

Plays on browser not on app

Premium family account set up, invite and log in details set up no issue.

Android phone Motorola e20.

Search for an artist, click on the song or album and nothing happens. No play bar appears. 

Repeat on accessing Spotify on a browser and the songs play.

Phone and software etc all up to date and we have uninstalled and reinstalled. 

Anyone know what we are doing wrong?

Just to confirm, is this only happening when your search for an artist or it also happens when you search for albums or playlists/songs? 


On another note, would you mind asking a relative or a friend to log in to their account in your phone to check if the same happens with a different account? 


Also, we'd like to know if the same happens using a different internet connection.
