My Question or Issue

Podcasts that include video won't play on my phone. No error message shows. Happens if I'm on Wi-Fi or cellular. App and OS are up to date.

App has been reinstalled, caches have been cleared, relevant-seeming settings tweaked, all to no effect.

When I login on a web browser video podcasts play with no issue, so it's something to do with the app on my phone.

Thanks for your post here in the Community and welcome.

Just to check, are you only getting audio when playing the Podcasts that have video? Or are you not able to play those at all? Additionally, could you send us a video recording of this behavior? You can attach it in your next reply in mp4 format, or you can also upload it to YouTube or Google Drive and make it public, so we can visualize it.

Now, we understand you already reinstalled the app, but we recommend performing a clean reinstall by following these steps. This is a more thorough process and can sometimes work. Also, go to your Account Overview page and Sign out everywhere. Additionally, remove access to all the apps you've connected to your account here. You can easily reconnect your apps anytime. Once done, log back in and check if that makes a difference.

Lastly, try logging in with another account on that mobile device and check if you can't play the episodes from there. You can ask a relative or friend to log in with their account and check.

Hi, it's resolved now thanks. Sorry I'm not actually sure what fixed it, but after playing a video podcast on on another device then rebooting the phone the podcasts started playing again. Very strange.
