My Question or Issue




There seems to be an issue when moving songs in the queue. Aside from the visual bug seen on the video, if I were to move one more song in the queue, it would crash the whole Spotify app and stop the music. This was tested on the most recent Spotify version ( and earlier versions going back one year.

To start troubleshooting this bug, let us know if you've already tried performing a clean reinstall of the app. This is often an overlooked step, but it’s more thorough than a regular one and can be helpful to get rid of any cache that might be causing trouble.

Thanks for the quick response! Yep, I've tried reinstalling as shown in the instructions on the S20+ but not other devices mentioned in the starting post. Unfortunately this didn't fix it. What I found interesting is that on the S21+ with the same Android and Spotify version, the queue works fine.

This suggests that the issue is related to that specific device. To check, could you log in to a different account, like a friend's or relative's, on the affected device and let us know if this behavior persists?


If it does, check that there aren't any optimization or cache clearing settings enabled for Spotify in the phone's settings.
