Nexus 6 with family premium .Everytime I try radio or home its says not working have another go . Uninstalled reinstalled logged out then in cleared data and cache . Library and search works just fine . I can play music its just annoying and not worth the money if all functions don't work .
I have the exact same problem on my OnePlus2
Also rooted but worked fine until a few days ago. I'm currently on the 3 months for .99€ and have the studend discount premium. I'm in Austria.
Same problem here. Also rooted with custom ROM. I tried Magisk hide but no improvement. Cleared cache and reinstalled as well ..
Edit: My friend with a non rooted phone have no problems with his app.
What I do with MY phone shouldn't be of any concern for Spotify! They should now fix this and not let users try to help each other! It's pointless in this case!

I made sure i passed safetynet(Had to disable xposed module in magisk manager) and it worked. Now, I prefer xposed over spotify home and radio, so I´m gonna switch back. I'm also gonna look into changing music streaming service. Maybe I have better luck with google music..
Did you guys get an email from spotify about "unusual activity"?
Here's mine. Google translated for me, so sorry for retardedness..

Hey!
We detected unusual activity on the app you are using, so we've disabled it. Do not worry, your Spotify account is safe.
Uninstall unauthorized or modified versions of Spotify and download and install the Spotify app from the Google Play Store. Take a look at our support article about reinstalling Spotify if you need more help.
If we find that you continue to use unauthorized apps and violate our terms, we reserve the right to disable or close your account.
Thank you for using Spotify.

I don't think root is causing that. The problem just appeared a few days ago and I've had root and xposed way longer than I had Spotify

I think I just proved root is causing the issue. I am using magisk root /w magisk hide. When I activated xposed module that can't be hidden by magisk hide(the root access) safetynet check fails. Now, when I disable the xposed module, I pass safetynet and Spotify shows me both home tab and radio tab as usual.
EDIT: What I mean is that they probably updated their software to check safetynet. Probably for copyright issues. My old tv supplier had an app that wouldn't work with root for that reason so I'm leaning towards the same reason here.
Seems toothless tho. Ripping from spotify is a piece of cake if you would want that.
But hey, maybe Hetfield and Ulrich called and wanted money for more rehab...
**bleep**. I wonder what caused it to appear so suddenly and why do they like messing with root users so much

My guess is pressure from the big record companys. They are just used to sit on their hands watching money roll in as people buy their over priced plastic plates. I'm gonna change my streaming service. Too bad my premium got renewed yesterday.... =P
@pablocito Did you get an email like mine?
Nope, no email, just suddenly stopped working some three days ago. If this doesn't get solved before my subscription renews, I'll probably change services too
I downloaded version 8-4-14-439 as an apk (chose it at random) and it seems to work for now at least
Thanks, works a charm (for now) on this version.
In my situation, the problem was AdAway in advanced setting in crDroid 4.1 (Oreo 8.1). I had enabled ad blocking. When I turned it off Home and Radio tabs started working properly.
Mine worked again with no explanation…
Strange!
I was having the same issue, and I was able to resolve the issue by turning off my whole-network ad blocker, opening the spotify app, then reenabling the ad blocker. Seems to work for now, anyway.
::EDIT::
Correction, it fixed it temporarily. I had to whitelist spclient.wg.spotify.com to resolve the issue.

It seems adding spclient.wg.spotify.com to whitelist resolved problem. Thanks.
