Random option will play through the same songs

After building a sizeable list of music on my android I noticed when using the random play i find that after a while it repeats the same set of songs in the same order. at worst the list was repeating the same 5 songs. any ideas how i can fix this without having to pick a new song and hope it rebuild the random list?

I am having the same problem. Sometimes it does do random songs like it is supposed to. However most of the time it plays a small selection of 1 or 2 songs from the same band. Mind you I am using a 65 song playlist with 19 different artists. Really wish this could be fixed. However, it only happens on Android from my experiances.
