I use it everyday too! Bring it back please.
I use this feature every day - if it's not reintroduced in the next month, I'm probably going to cancel my premium subscription and use a different service.
This function has worked on the Android app until the beginning of March. Why would you change an app to have less functionality, in particular on a feature that is standard for music players? The removal of shuffle playlists should be remedied quickly. I pay money for a premium product, not for a product that makes me look at other options.
Hi Martin,
this feature was available until last update, so it was still working early this month.
Your workarounds do not really help.
The first one will duplicate your amount of storage needed in the Android device.
The second one is not very useful if you are taking your music around (which is actually the point of having a premium account) and your desktop is somewhere else.
Thanks for passing it to the staff!
Best regards
I guess this is because Spotify wants to force it's users more and more to (currated) playlists, since this is where the big labels are willing to pay big money for.
It has become clear to me that Spotify is a company that is focussed more on the casual mainstream listener than on the music lover who has a big library (probably because this user "pays" more in the end). First there was the move to the "My music" which limits the library (and) playlists to 10K songs, and now this... It's a shame that even as stupid as Spotify is becoming, the competition is even worse in most cases (i.e. 1000 song playlist limit for Google Play).
This feature was a HUGE part of the experience for me and there is just no logically reason why this should have been removed. And as always there is no communication from Spotify's side.
Won't continue my subscription without this feature.
I am already looking forward to the update that removes playlists entirely.
Playlist folders are how my entire library is structured. Why is this feature removed? And why is it only removed in Android?
Do you pay your developers for removing the features instead of adding them? Because that's what you've been doing for last few years. Too bad that I've only recently renewed my spotify subscription.
Same
Same problem. I just couldn't believe they removed such a useful feature. Please Spotify, bring it back. If they don't bring it back I'll consider unsubscribing from Premium.
Adding my voice to this, will also be switching services if this functionality isn't restored.
Hey, feelikeastrangr, could you please convey an extended middle finger for me to the Spotify staff then? Why remove this feature?! This completely destroys my usability of Spotify on my phone. I've been a Premium subscriber since 2009 and I'm seriously looking into changing services for the first time.
I'm sorry to take it out on you, I'm just getting frustrated from all this **bleep**. This isn't the first removal of useful features I've been subjected to.

What do you mean by "solved"? No update, and the button is still missing.
