S8 lock screen control's dissapear if you pause now.

So when I first got my s8 and spotify whenever I would get into my truck and my Bluetooth would connect to my phone spotify would automatically pop up on my lock screen and I could just hit play. Even if I didn't have spotify open. It was amazing. Now since updating to the most recent software on my s8 this doesn't happen and even if I hit pause on spotify and lock the screen and turn it back on I have to swipe and relog back into my phone just to hit play. This is super annoying while I am driving. Any idea how to fix it back to the way it was?
