'SHUFFLE PLAY' button in My Music/Songs doesn't work

Galaxy S3 4.4

After a clean install it works once then doesn't work again. I can use the Shuffle Play button within Playlists, then if I go back to Songs the button will also work once but not after that. It's started happening after one of the recent updates.

Not sure if it's related but when I manage to start listening more often than not it will stop after about 30 seconds or so.

Any help appreciated
