Screeching/glitchy sound pixel phone

Im getting a screeching/glitchy sound in random places, in random songs. Once it happens its always there, like that part of the song file is corrupted.

It only happens on my pixel 6a phone, using spotify and my Bluetooth philips TAT2206 headphones.

I cant recreate it on another phone.

Its very painful & annoying so any help would be greatly appreciated.

To start with, can you let us know if you did any troubleshooting so far?

It would also be great if you can let us know if this started happening after an update or any other specific changes? 

We also suggest that you check out this article and try with a different audio setting to see if it makes any difference?

Hey, sorry for the late reply after u were so quick.

I did a clean install, as advised by spotify, but that seems to have been a temp fix.

It happens so sporadically that its hard to determine when it actually started.

Thanks for the article, didnt seem to make a difference though.

Can you check if the screeching occurs if you use the phone's speaker or another set of Bluetooth headphones or a speaker?

This issue might be coming from disruptions in the Bluetooth signal.

Phone speaker works fine. Its a very strange situation as ive tried these same headphones with the same songs that screech, but with a different phone and its fine.

Thank you for your reply and for the troubleshooting you've done so far.

As a next step we can recommend that you check the phone's battery settings and make sure that Spotify is set as an exception if you're using the battery optimization option.
 

On another note, can you make sure that you're running the latest  OS?

We also recommend that you try with a different internet connection to see if it makes any difference.

Putting it on unrestricted batt usage didnt change anything & im running the lastest OS. 

I did find out tho that playing in mono is fine, it only crackles in stereo
