Search says offline on wifi and 4g

Samsung galaxy s7 android

For the past month or two, the search function indicates that I am offline and cannot search, although my phone is connected either through wifi or 4g. This includes my home wifi network.

Sorry to hear this, but no worries - help’s here.

Could you make sure that offline mode is off following these steps:

1. Tap Your Library 
2. Tap Settings 
3. Tap Playback.
4. Switch off Offline.

My offline mode is always set to off. The offline message in spotify comes
on and off seemingly randomly. Restarting the phone sometimes but not
always works. I also checked the phone network settings for my t- mobile
machine and apn protocol is ipv4.

In this case, if this happens again, I would try a quick clean reinstall of the app. Just follow these steps.
