Hi @rostspik,

Thanks for reaching out!

Did this start happening recently and was it after a specific event, such as an app or an OS update? Since we weren't able to reproduce the issue on our end, it'd be great if you can send us a screenshot of what you see when searching so we can take a closer look.

We'd recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app to ensure you're running the latest version and to remove any damaged cache that might be causing this. Another thing you can do is check with a different internet connection to see if that makes a difference.

Can you also test if it happens on a different device as well (a different phone or a PC)? You can try logging in on a friend or relative's phone to test this out, for example.

Keep us posted.

Sure, here is an example. I only see what it is if I click it. Like I managed to click some metal thing after random clicking around.

Hey @rostspik,

Thanks for the screenshot!

Do you happen to use some sort of zoom setting on your phone or an app that does that? In case you do, try turning it off to see if that makes a difference. It'd also be great if you can give the troubleshooting suggestions in my previous reply a shot, as well as let us know when you noticed this started happening so we can investigate further. Testing this out on a different device would really help us check if that might be causing this, so it'd be great if you can try it out.

Let us know how it goes.

I do not have any zoom apps. I have turned the font size down to the smallest that android allows in its settings. The three columns are still three columns after reinstalling. I know the icons were readable earlier this year. Sure, why don't you try it on your phone?

My sister says no. I think she has iphone and not Android like me. I do remember the text going over the images before though so I think it was broken in some frontend change is my hunch.

Oh wow, it looks even worse with font size set to max

Hi @rostspik,

Thanks for the reply.

As previously stated, we tested this on our end, but were unable to reproduce it across a variety of devices. So that's why we're trying to narrow down a possible root cause. Could you please provide us the following:

  • The exact make, model and Android version of your affected device
  • The exact Spotify Version you use.

With this information, we’d be happy to investigate further.

Keep us posted.

Hi @rostspik,

Thanks for the info.

While we look into this, there should be a newer version of the app already released or releasing very soon. Please check for that and update the app when possible. Let us know if the issue persists afterwards.

Cheers!
