Shazam tracks not offering a Spotify playlist to add to

For around the last 12 months when I Shazam a song with the intention of then adding it to a Spotify playlist via the Shazam app,  approximately only 2 in 10 songs offers the 'Add To' option.  All the other times I just get the 'Open' option.  I have Shazam and Spotify connected to each other. It didn't used to be like this, very frustrating, can anyone help me? Am asking the same question in the Shazam forum.
