Shuffle does not work in playlist after new song is selected

This issue just started on my Galaxy S6. When i go to a playlist and click on a song, the shuffle and repeat buttons are turned off (not highlighted in green). Once i click them both, i would fully expect it to stay in shuffle and repeat mode. It stays in this mode until i manually pick a song, in which case it turns off. I like to keep shuffle on but also be able to select the songs i want. Frustrating as **bleep**!
