Skipping to next song causes volume to go to 100%

Hi guys. I completed one month free trial and this is the only deal-breaker to cause me to not go premium. And it's a big problem that makes it unusable.

The problem is: when using the Android app, skipping a song caused the volume to go 100% every time, hurting my ears a lot. It's a massive hassle to click the volume down again simply to skip. And I don't listen to music very loud so it hurts a lot.

So, it ruled out using spotify on a day to day basis, as I prefer to use it for music discovery than listenining to every song.

I am using Note 3, Android Kitkat, default Equaliser (the one with fx booster)
