Smart Shuffle function doesn't work

Smart Shuffle function doesn't work

I have a Premium Individual Account but the smart shuffle function doesn't work. Before it did, but now it seems to be disappeared. Any suggestions to fix this problem?

If the Smart Shuffle function on your Spotify Premium Individual Account isn’t working as expected, here are a few steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.


Ensure that you’re using the correct shuffle setting. Smart Shuffle should be available from the Shuffle button, and you may need to click it multiple times to toggle between the regular shuffle and Smart Shuffle.

Make sure your Spotify app is up-to-date. An outdated app can lead to functionality issues.

If updating doesn’t resolve the issue, try reinstalling the Spotify app. This can fix problems caused by corrupted app data.

Smart Shuffle is only available for playlists created by you. It won’t be available for playlists created by Spotify or other users.

Note that Smart Shuffle is not available on computers or the Web Player, but it should be on mobile devices.

If these steps don’t resolve the issue, it might be helpful to reach out to Spotify’s support team for further assistance. They can provide more specific guidance based on the latest app updates and any known issues.

Except it's nearly impossible to actually reach the Spotify support team, since they do their best to hide ways of contacting them. I have a Sunday playlist that regularly "smart" shuffles through four different versions of Amazing Grace on Sundays, and my "smart" shuffle instrumental songs overloads on Disney's Wish soundtrack.
