Song now playing banner suddenly showing

Why am I getting a banner showing the current song playing and that Spotify is playing in background when all notifications are off

This has just started today and I have not changed any settings?

Just to confirm, are you referring to the notification bar that you can see while the phone is locked? 

On another note, sending us the exact make/model and operating system of your device would come in handy.
