Sound quality issue

Sound quality issue

Hi,

In my Samsung A73, Spotify sound is very low, compare to the recommendation which is for 5 seconds or something there the volume is much better, there's is a world of difference.

Can someone help me how to fix it.

I have checked the settings and kept it to hight quality in Wifi and in cellular network, EQ is normal, volume level in Spotify app setting is normal (not loud) as app recommends to keep it normal else it may diminish the audio quality.

Please advise how to keep the volume as good as the recommended songs volume, it sounds rich, crips, and louder.

Many thanks in advance.

Hi there @cO00ehskjqcd21e2aOfs,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community and welcome!

First up, what do you mean then you mention that the recommendation volume is better? Could you possibly send us an audio recording where we can listen to that and also the actual volume you're hearing?

On another note, if this started happening recently, you can try reinstalling the app on your device with these steps. Also does this happen while listening from your device speakers, or when you're playing through your headphones or some speaker? Or is the volume too low from all devices?

Lastly, go to the app settings > Playback and turn off the 'Equalizer', or you can turn it on and check if changing the Equalizer settings helps with the volume.

We'll wait for your reply.

Hi Susan_GP,

I'm experiencing the same issue, so Iโ€™ve attached a screen recording to help illustrate it better. Since upgrading my plan, the sound has been silent or rather muffled.

I'm currently using Spotify for Windows (64-bit), version 1.2.63.394.g126b0d89.

Note: The issue is not limited to the mobile app, it's also happening on the web player and the Windows application. In the video, Iโ€™ve compared the sound with another media player so you can clearly hear the difference.

Below is the attached video, please revert soon
Thank you

Hey @akashpandit,

Thanks for joining the thread and for the video!

I checked the song from the recording as well and can confirm that I also hear it a bit muffled. This seems to be how it was uploaded so I'd recommend reporting it to the right folks as mentioned in this article. In the meantime, I found this track, which seems to have better audio so feel free to check it out:

Hope this clears things up.

Hi Dessi,

Thank you for getting back to me. I can confirm that the issue isn't related to the song upload. Even the track you tagged sounds the sameโ€”muffled.

The problem isnโ€™t limited to one song or device. Itโ€™s happening across all songs and on all my devicesโ€”PC, phone, and browser.

Also, the music I showed in the screen recording is something Iโ€™ve been listening to regularly, and it sounded perfectly fine before I upgraded to a Spotify plan. ๐Ÿ™‚

Appreciate it if you could look into this further.

Hey @akashpandit

Thanks for getting back to us.

We suggest that you try adjusting the quality of the songs to Very High in the app settings (Settings and Privacy > Media quality) as this will produce the highest quality playback.

Also, under Playback you can try turning Volume normalization on. Note that some tracks are uploaded with louder audio than others, but this shouldn't be noticeable when Volume normalization is turned on.

If this doesn't do the trick, could you ask a friend or a relative to log in to their account on your affected devices and check if they can replicate this behavior?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
