Spotify Causing my phone to be unresponsive.

Spotify Causing my phone to be unresponsive.

I have been using spotify for probably half a year now, in that time I have had 2 Phones, a Galaxy s5 then a Sony Xperia Z5 Premium.

Occasionally my phone will go unresponsive, screen wont turn on with any buttons, happening on both my phones, I have noticed this always happens when spotify is open and i lock the screen. It doesn't happen every time but it can make my phone go unresponsive for up to 5min. To test i removed spotify from my phone for 3 weeks and not once did this problem happen, but as soon as I re downloaded the app and all my music the problem started occuring again telling me its definetly sportify.

You can see if Spotify is using up an unusually large amount of memory and/or RAM by viewing spotify's App Info. This can cause a phone to be unresponsive.

If it has made both of your phones unresponsive then be sure to clear the apps Cache regularly. (again, under app info for spotify).

To give you numbers to compare it to:

My Cache: 312kb

Application Memory: 72.53mb

Lastly, if you have an SD Card, make sure to store the songs on there.
