Spotify Playlists not Loading on Android

This morning I've found that the Spotify App on my Android Phone will not load any playlists, Not my personal ones, nor recommended and found in Search. The Menus work fine and I can still play music through Search, but no Access to Playlists, they're just stuck in a never-ending loading screen when I tap on one. I've already tried everything I know to solve the issue. Closed and restarted the App, Logged out and Logged back in, Restarted my Phone, Uninstalled the app, Cleared the Cache and all Data, Then Reinstalled the app. Nothing has worked to fix the issue. I know it's only happening on my phone too, because I've tried the WebPlayer and Desktop App, and both work just fine. I could really use some assistance with finding a solution, because nothing I've done has worked and I'm out of ideas on what to do.

It's something from the last update that has bricked all of our playlists. Really need a rollback until they figure out what to change. I literally can't listen to anything on my phone now and I am a paying subscriber. Unacceptable.

Also, keep in mind that the minimum system requirements for the Spotify app currently is Android 6.0.

It also hangs when I try to open an album saved in my library. It's not just for playlists.

still no fix for regular spotify on my tablet, so i deleted it and installed spotify lite which works.  regular spotify works on phone no problem, just tablet is the issue.

Any playlist or album except for the liked songs and saved podcasts stays stuck at the loading screen

I have the same problem and I can't figure out what to do. My Android is also 6.0.1 and my phone works just fine, so why isn't Spotify working?

me too. Android 6.0.1. Works on laptop though. If I delete Spotify on my phone and install Spotify Lite, will I still have access to playlists?

Same problem here with Samsung Galaxy Tab S and Android 6.0.1. Spotify startup correct and all menues working but when I select a playlist, both my own or created by Spotify, it won't load anything and is stuck in a never ending loop.

Even a playlist that is downloaded to my Tab is not working.

Spotify are you working on a solution?

This is two weeks now I haven't been able to use my spotify on my phone and I am a paying subscriber for over 10 years. This is unacceptable. You broke the app for us with the last update and still have neither rolled back the update nor released a fix for the update. Get it together

Also facing same issues on my phone. Already unsintall spotify. Even did factory reset of the phone thrice and yet still same issue.

My Question or Issue

After spotify app updated to version 8978513 my saved playlists will not load my saved songs. I use spotify free on android tablet version 6.01 have this issue over two weeks now please help i miss my music. I tried uninstall of app, loging out than back in and clearing cache all this did not fix issue?

There must be power in numbers because enough of us posted on this issue and spotify took a look at it and i believe fixed the issue with a new update v.8980581.After i installed it all my saved playlists loaded and songs played. Same for all my saved albums. Hope everyone makes out as well as i did and a shout out to this wonderful forum because it would seem that the issue was on spotify's end and they fixed it at least this is the case for me so thank you spotify for making it right and good luck everyone installing this update and hopefully getting back to the MUSIC!!!

I'm also having the same problem on my android tablet. I'm surprised spotify developers couldn't debug and resolve this issue for almost a month now. I guess this is not their priority. They had to ask us to try something they are not sure if would work. Couldn't even find an android tablet that can replicate the issue and solve it themselves then apply to a new update. Tsk tsk..
