Spotify Stops Playing

The issue is that Spotify will play like one song (sometimes more) but then will stop playing. When I turn on my phone to the lock screen, the Spotify widget says that audio is still playing,and when I open the app it starts playing again (though sometimes I have to press pause then play again, and less often still I just have to spam the play button).
I have tried reinstalling Spotify, and restarting my phone, but no dice. I run Android Marshmallow v6.0.1, and Spotify v5.2.0.885
