Spotify auto opens and starts playing when connected to bluetooth. Plz fix

How can i stop spotify from autostarting when it connects to bluetooth.

However, even when I have closed it out and restarted my phone, Spotify automatically becomes the first thing playing even if I have previously been using a different program. It's especially annoying when I've been listening to an audiobook or podcast, so then I have to slow down and get off to the side of the road in my car to safely switch between the music I wasn't expecting to start hearing and the story I had been listening to just a minute before. This is a more recent issue, it starting ALL THE TIME,

I don't think I've ever wanted anything to start autoplaying at any time in my life.

Really annoying every time I connect to bluetooth Spotify opens and starts playing at full volume when it has access to volume control on the device.

In my car, Spotify doesn't even open, it just starts playing music in the background. But when I open the app, it is indeed the source of the audio. 

On my SoundBlaster Roar Pro it does the same thing. No app, but it is playing music at max volume.

On my iRoar, the app opens and plays at max volume.

And it's never the thing that was playing, it  always selects some random track and starts playing.

When I connect to my home theatre receiver however it doesn't do this oddly enough.
