Spotify automatically starts playing on phone

While connecting to a bluetooth speaker and using another app to play music(Pandora), Spotify starts up on its own and overtakes control of the speaker. Spotify is NOT loaded in the background. This also happens when I turn bluetooth on on the phone, when attempting to connect to my home stereo system (Samsung Air Track). Today, Spotify started up after one or two songs had already played on Pandora. My options for auto connecting are all turned OFF in the app settings.

Just to further clarify, what bluetooth speaker are you using?

For now, would you mind trying a clean reinstall of Spotify to see if the app behaves normally as a result?
