Spotify automatically starts playing when opening the app with bluetooth headset connected

After the latest update, whenever I open the app on all of my android devices with my bluetooth earbuds connected, the last track will automatically start playing which is irritating. What's even more irritating is that there is NO option to disable this feature. I get that some people want this feature for their car's system but I don't want it on my earbuds. Please someone from the development team fix this!
