My Question or Issue
Hi,
Since yesterday I am not able to use spotify connect on my soundbar. Soundbar is fully operational and chromecast spotify plugin is working.
When I open Spotify on my Android or IPhone, play music and open the connect menu, the Soundbar Spotify connect option is not showing. I tried emptying cache, reinstalling app fully, and reset Soundbar to factory settings but no result. After factory reset of soundbar Spotify connect shows up temporarily. When you click on it, it keeps says "making connection" but nothing happens. Also tried to connect through my laptop but nothing works.
I suspect it to be due to recent spotify update because everything has operated without problems until Thursday.
Same problem here with my Sony STR-DN1080.
I can't find/connect to Spotify via Spotify connect as i for the previous 5 years have been able to. Just happened all of sudden without me doing any updates on my Sony. Thus I believe it must be something about a recent sptofiy app update?
(Have tried updating my Sony afterwards aswell)
@Surtyr
Or something changed with your network (e.g. router firmware, DNS settings, mDNS config and device discovery, ISP made some changes etc.)
There are a number of reasons it may have stopped working. Reaching the conclusion that it must be Spotify may be incorrect.
I presume you've tried that basics like rebooting your router and phone and soundbar, trying a different device etc.
Yes I have tried rebooting all my systems and tried different devices. As well as changing network frequency.
I'm with virgin media and I don't think the hub 3 allows me to change the dns. However, my Sony A80l TV can use Spotify connect for lossless. Just not my ht a7000.
