Downtime May 16: Android apps crashing

Hey folks! Some of you may currently experience an issue with your Android apps closing out when tapping on the Now Playing bar. This is being looked into and we'll keep you posted in this thread 🙂

I am having the same issue. I deleted cache, deleted data, uninstall Spotify, restarted my Android and it is still crashing. I hope this is an update they can fix soon. At least I could play it on my TV but I can't bring my TV when I'm riding the car.

My Question or Issue

Desde hoy no me ha funcionado bien la aplicación, esto sucede en el momento que elijo una canción, suena un par de segundos y se cierra la aplicación. Vuelvo a intentar y nuevamente el sistema lo cierra.

Cabe destacar que actualice la aplicación, reinicie mi teléfono, Y pasa igualmente, no he podido hacer uso de este.

Whenever I go to click on the music bar at the bottom it crashes my app completely

Same issue, Galaxy S24. Clean reinstall didn't fix the problem.

My Android is a Galaxy S24+

I been using Spotify for almost a decade now ok multiple devices, but this is the first time I experienced an issue. It keeps closing everytime I try to play a song. I can play Spotify on my TV, but I can't bring the TV to my car. I followed the "first aid" instructions of deleting cache and to then uninstall the app. Then I deleted data, uninstall app and restarted my device, but it didn't solve the problem. I hope Spotify can fix this in an update soon.

Galaxy A35, tried all the abovementioned and still having this issue, started today. 

Extremely frustrating!
