Spotify disables bluetooth after every played track.

Spotify disables bluetooth after every played track.

Hi there folks.

When I'm using my bluetooth headphones Spotify turns of my bluetooth after every single track it has played. It's not just kicking out my phones it acctually turns the bluetooth off, so I need to reactivate it manually, then make a new search for my headphones and then start the next track.. just to repeat this again after that track.
This little "gag" has come since I did the update to Spotify version 3.3.0.988 and is not happening in any other program I use, or if I use another music app on my phone.

I have this far;
reinstalled Spotify from scratch (deleted all files on the unit)
reinstalled my phone with the latest drivers and made all the updates from blank
I am now running Android 4.2.2 on a Samsung S4

If you need any more information or wonder anything, just type me a line or two 🙂

Thanx to Osmodius - the  installation the old version worked well. only until the automatic update from spotify came again. Though I had the auto-install the Google Play store disabled - unfortunately without success. Now I will terminate my premium account and test tidal or Deezer. Maybee I come back if spotify fixed the issue, but in the moment the app is unusable for me!!!

Hm, I haven't had it automatically update on me. That does suck!

You're right, if they don't fix this issue, my premium sub is gone as well. The entire reason of premium is to use the mobile app properly, and if that doesn't work? Not much point to it.

I just got the newest update and problem solved. Give it a try.

After the last update everything works well again. The problem seems to be
solved like the friendly support team had announced it. Thanks a lot.

Hi artoriusx, thanks a lot - yes, this is also my experience. Sometimes we
only have to wait.

Can I just bump this post as I am looking for a solution that sounds like it fits with the original question.

I am playing Spotify through web browser on a Dell laptop (no permissions to download the app) and have the Dell connected via Bluetooth to my speakers.

This has only just started to occur but occasionally I can skip a song or select a new song and the song will play silently as if connection is lost. After switching the Bluetooth speakers off the song will play at volume through laptop speakers and reconnect to the Bluetooth speakers once they are turned back on again.

Sometimes there are no issues at all but it’s on occasion that the issue will occur.

Any ideas would be welcome.
