Spotify don't let me chose where to store data

Spotify don't let me chose where to store data

My phone is a BLU Life Pure XL, aka Gionee E7, Android 4.4 KitKat, 32GB internal memory without SD Card slot, Spotify version 6.9.0.1212 armV7.

The problem is that my phone memory is divided into two parts as the pics show and the Spotify app don't let me choose where to store the data.

Anyone can help me?

Hi,

If you go into the spotify app then click on the setting in the top right. Scroll down to storage. In there will be your storage devices (phone stoage and micro SD).

I have shown screenshots below to help

Hope this helps 🙂

Thanks for reply but.. thats exactly my problem.. i don't have an SD Card, just a partitioned internal memory, so that option doesnt appear. Check my screenshot

Some older phones running android 4.x confusingly refer to internal storage as SD storage but, in fact, this is plain old internal storage where all applications and their data are automatically stored. This is where spotify stores its cache.

You will only see the storage option in spotify settings if you have an external SD card installed, which you don't.

EDIT: This article probably describes android storage better than I can 🙂

Thank you Joe. So there's nothing what I can do, just pray for the Spotify developers to solve the problem. Thank's again!

FOUND A SOLUTION!! As Spotify dont allow me to move the application to other storage, I used an app called App2SD to force the Spotify storage location.
