My Question or Issue
Getting Spotify for Android to find my local music on my SD card? I only want to do what I am able to do with Spotify for Windows, I clicked on settings, went down to local files and turned it on, then showed it where I keep my music.
With Spotify for Android, I went to setting, clicked on storage, and let it access my SD card. I could not find a setting for local files. I have 10.5 GB of music on the SD card that Spotify can't use.
I am new to Spotify, in my car I use Android Auto, so I have to use apps that are compatible with it. My main music app Google play Music worked with my SD card, but it is going away. YouTube Music will work with my SD Card. But I don't like the Ideal of new music being Video Music, seems to be a big wast of Data, as in a car I can't watch Videos anyway! I sometimes wonder what Google is thinking!
I have sent feedback on this, and I have rated Spotify on Google Play store. Spotify has had about five updates to the app and has not fixed this yet, so I lowered my rating! Look this is something that most Music apps do and do well. Also, this is something that should be easy to program. I bet that most people want to be able to play their music on their SD card, so this should make you popular!
