Spotify launches and closes seconds after

Hello,

Spotify was working previously a week ago. I am using a Xiaomi Mi5 running android marshmallow.

Now the app will not start normally and closes itself, however still on the recent apps drawer. I have tried all of spotifies trouble shooting methods.

I read upon making a new account and trying to sign in with that. WHICH WORKS and the app launches fine, but with my main account that i've been using for at least a year doesn't want to work. 

Is it worth the troubleshooting experience to get my main account working again or is it better to transfer over everything to the new account.

I am having this problem with my Xiaomi Mi Note as well.

My phone doesnt support SD card so i guess nothing to do with mashmallow storage issue and i tried all the steps suggested from Android troubleshooting topic, still the same.

Every time i exit from Spotify apps, i can't start the apps anymore until i manually clear the data and apps from android settings or re-install the apps.
