Spotify no longer sees speaker/AVR or any other devices

My Question or Issue

Spotify no longer sees my AVR (a Yamaha networked receiver), or any other Spotify connect devices on my network. It still works from my wife's phone. something broke via updates over the last month or so.

Note, I do have google play services disabled on my phone. but this has never prevented Spotify connect from working in the past (of course it stopped chromecast from working).
