Spotify not filling 18:9 and 19:9 screens!

I recently got a Xiomi Mi A2 Lite. I used Spotity on an aandroid tablet and ipod touch for  while, and never had this issue. Spotify doesn't fill the screen- on the new Google Pixels, or OnePlus phones. They all use a 19:9 or 18:9 screen ratio, and Spotify leaves about an inch gap  between the bottom of Spotify and the bottom of the phone. Is there any fix for this? I've restarted several times, uninstalled and installed Spotify, and updated to the latest AndroidOne.

nice to see you got a A2 lite, in the USA. its a good  phone and im surprised that people in the US are buying these now. I just got an Honor Play and i'm having the same problem. Spotify should rectify this asap, as >70% of phones on the market now have extended aspect ratios

It's an amazing phone. But really annoying, I'm having the same problem with the Fitbit app...

I hope Spotify fixes it soon, extended displays have been out since 2016-2 years and the problem still isn't fixed...
