Spotify only let's me in, on chrome but not the app

I reset my password and it did it on Google chrome and spotify app said "unable to login. Either user name or password is incorrect. " I changed my password and it only did on Google chrome but not the app

First things first, did you create your account via Spotify.com? If yes, you need to enter your username and not your email address to log in, together with your updated password.

If you created your account via Facebook, then you need to input your Facebook email address and Facebook password. Just click LOGIN WITH FACEBOOK in the login screen.
