Spotify scrolls to the top of the playlist

This is white a new problem I've been having, but if I ever leave the playlist I'm playing (if, say, I switch to another app or exit the song list) the playlist automatically scrolls to the top without me doing anything. I'm running Android 5.1.1 and Spotify version 3.8.0.800. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

What fool calls this a feature? I started looking at other music apps soley because of this.

Just installed the latest version 4.1.0.868 and so far it looks like this is fixed. Ill keep my eye on it for a couple days but so far its remembering my scroll position.

Anyone else tried the latest version?
