Spotify stops playing whenever I enter the Ultra power saver mode

My Question or Issue

The "Ultra power saver mode" on my phone is customizable: It lets me use any 6 apps that still work when this mode is enabled.

When I start Spotify in the Ultra power saver mode, everything works just fine.

However, whenever I switch from the "normal" phone mode to the Ultra power saver mode, Spotify stops playing immediately, even when it's already added in the Ultra power saver mode. Other apps don't do this.

Because of a different bug I already followed the detailed Spotify reinstall instructions about a week ago. It didn't fix anything, unfortunately.

This is not something that can be manually controlled from the Spotify app, since it's a third party performance optimization software which is causing the issue.

It's best if you contact the support team from Huawei directly about this, as they'll be able to offer you more help 🙂
