Spotify switches from SD card to internal memory

I want Spotify to use my SD Card as memory location.

When I tick the button to ,, save on SD Card" it does save there then but after a few days it switches to internal memory again.

Why can't it stay there?

And also, sometimes it happens that Spotify deletes all my downloaded songs and I have to download them again.

Why is that?

Have exactly the same problems, which often makes me doubt about added value of having premium account.

This can happen if spotify doesn't see the SD card, even for a second. Possible causes include a defective or badly seated SD card - you would probably see regular android notifications saying that the SD card has been mounted.

Another possibility is that your SD card is encrypted - on restarting the phone, spotify will look for the SD card before android has finished initialising the encrypted card. There are other threads concerning this and the working solution seems to be to delay the background spotify process when the phone is powered on.
