Still not able to get album art on local files

I have searched and read a lot of articles on the community that are about this problem, but no one has been able to provide me with a fix yet. When I import a song to my spotify on my PC and sync it to my HTC One M8, or any other device I own, the album art for the imported song, is not showing on the device, only on my pc. I tried many things, even downscaling the picture down to 300x300 pixels but to no avail.

Is this still a bug? like everyone is telling me and other people? If so, why is it still a bug? If you guys at spotify said it would be fixed in a near update like a year ago? If there is a solution to this, that actually works, please tell me.
