Taylor Swift song (local file) won't sync

I downloaded "We are Never Getting Back Together" by Taylor Swift from iTunes (so it should be DRM free). It syncs fine with Spotify on my iPhone, but won't on my Nexus 7. I deleted the cache and tried even making the song its own playlist. It says the playlist has 1 track and that it's downloaded, but the playlist is blank. This is the only song I've noticed the issue with so far and the file format is the same as all the other music I've downloaded from iTunes.

Are you following the instructions here to sync your local files?

Yes, I followed those instructions and the file still doesn't show up on my Nexus 7, only my iPhone (and laptop). The file is .m4a so that shouldn't be the issue.
