Harley quinn and joker podcast trailer will always play with video even with data saver on and canvas off and stream audio only on. I would like a way to turn off all video when data saver is on

We are having this same problem with my daughters. They are now able to access inappropriate content and videos that I cannot limit or turn off and explicit content comes in even though we have that filter on.

Same problem here. It can't be too hard to give us the option to toggle videos off. I don't want my kids to see inappropriate content. Otherwise I have to look for another streaming service.

This is just the canvas playing. We are talking about to shut down all video content, like music videos and podcasts etc

How do you turn off videos in iOS app - if I wanted music videos I’d go to YouTube.

If they can’t be turned off then at minimum set audio version to be default, so it’s possible to listen to music within the crap that comes with the video…

Please listen to these complaints, Spotify. You don't need to force engagement because people already love music and are paying to listen to that music. The artists barely benefit from spotify as it is. Can you at least build more customisation into the app to turn off totally distracting and unhelpful features. We just want music. Also this site has asked me if i "find this post helpful" over ten times and then did a massive pop-up that refreshed the page. It's like your business model is suddenly to be as irritating as possible. Just let us listen to music and we'll do the rest. Offer videos and previews etc if you must but let us customise our (paid for) experience.

This situation is absurd, and either extremely unprofessionally implemented or a deliberate action to milk all users, including premium ones. I will for sure cancel my family's subscription after reading this thread

I’m having the same issue the new full music videos (not canvas) NEED a disable option. I was just about to get Spotify family so my kids can have their own profile but when I downloaded the app the new one is full of videos!! I was a music player for them, completely AUDIO ONLY device and now I’m looking at other providers. I’d rather use Spotify as we’re used to it but PLEASE let us know WHEN you’re going to bring in the option to toggle off full videos (not canvas, I can do that!). Thanks.

Totally agree. My kid listens to about 20  hours of Spotify music a week. It’s her favorite thing to do. I want no videos to be available to her. If I cannot control the feed of videos, I will not let her use the app. It introduces a safety concern for me - while innuendo can be subtle in the lyrics of a song, videos are often times explicit and in no way ok for an 8 yr old to see in an uncontrolled environment.

My solution would be to cancel Premium account subscription and go with the free version, which doesn't have**bleep** included.

100%. If there isn't a way to stop videos from automatically playing six months from today, I will end my premium subscription after 7 years. I want to listen to music. Not be fed podcast videos, flashing light videos of genres, etc. It the UI is so ugly now. What I want is to flip through albums just like you would if you were *flipping through physical albums*. The value of spotify has always been that it did *not* have video like every other platform. The decision to move to video will cost you customers spotify. Please stop.

Agreed. Who the **bleep** comes to Spotify for a damn video. This is trash and time to just go to Apple Music. 
the handoff on podcasts isn’t even easy and causes 5-20 seconds of buffering if I unlock my phone and open the app. 

give the ability to turn off videos. Nobody wants it and the only reason there is usage is because it’s forced. Bad metrics there.

I get video previews on the start screen of the Android app for podcasts, video snippets with **bleep** in the search results,...

This is completely incompatible with the media consumption I set up for my kids and in addition, I find it highly distracting.

Spotify, give me an option to disable video.

What's wrong with these devs?  Today I opened Spotify to see a video of a podcast being forced on me, it keeps looping every time I open the "All" page.  Are you people seriously this dense? There's no way to turn this garbage off.  I don't want your sponsored**bleep** forced on me.
